Client Name: Confidential (Tech Space)
Project Description: The data center infrastructure client is in the initial stages of a feasibility study for a prospective Fiber Optic Loop project in California. The study aims to determine the best construction methods and explore potential partnerships, including a possible joint-build agreement with state agencies to best align with their ongoing 10,000-mile Middle Mile broadband Network.
Project Role: The data center client was seeking a high-level project cost estimate to gain stakeholder buy-in and to finalize route specifics, including duct quantities. Project Outcome: Produced a comprehensive report with highly reliable estimates based on contractor pricing. Developed estimates for various scenarios to provide the client with a nuanced understanding of cost implications under different conditions. The report included a risk register highlighting major risks and corresponding mitigation strategies. Additionally, it presented a detailed construction schedule outlining the estimated duration of the construction process.
